I don't know if you know

I meant to love you more.

Was only when I opened my big mouth

it came out wrong.

And all those random things I say

and those random things I do,

they started out with love

but ended hurting too.

I really hope to hell you know

these things I say are true.

I'm guessing daily life

is just the same for you.

The bees and the seas

and the hills and the trees,

well, they're all crying too.

This sadness in our heart's

not just me and you.

I know you didn't mean

to leave this mess behind.

I know you can't control

the crazy in your mind.

But all those best intentions, well,

you can see they didn't work out.

They started out with love

but ended hurting too.
